TREK

I don't even know how to blog about Trek.
It was one of those, "you just had to be there" experiences.
Bill and I were asked to be a "Ma and Pa" in February.
Bill stopped shaving that very second and was determined
to grow the most killer pioneer beard.
It didn't disappoint!

This experience for Bill and me was life changing.
Something that brought us closer together.
A determination to BE better. To DO better.
A reminder to be grateful for those who have gone before us,
and to honor their legacy by staying close to the gospel.

We fell more in love with the youth of our stake.
Amazed at their strength, their knowledge,
and their testimonies.
We had a family of 8 kids. 4 boys, 4 girls.
These kids were amazing. The way they worked together.
Helped each other. Laughed together. And in the
end they became such good friends with each other.
When we grow up we want to be just like them.

Our "sons" worked so hard.
Their strength, willingness, and determination was incredible.

Brad, Chris, Braden, Trevor, Bill

Our "daughters" were so fun.
Full of life, energy, and the giggles.

"Fruit snack, Blueberry, Peachy, and Sunshine"

30 miles in 2 1/2 days.
It was EXHAUSTING!!
We want to go back.

Me and my girls after the women's pull

The only bad thing....
Both my top and bottom lip got COVERED in cold sores.
This trip had all the main ingredients:
Sun + no sleep + stress + lots of crying + more sun =
The Worlds Biggest Cold Sore!
You can thank me for not documenting it.
It wasn't pretty.

One of the best things....
(besides our kids and the spirit we felt)
was that Bill was somehow talked in to square dancing.
And I was able to document the miracle.

Ahhhhh - Trek. We loved you

That sounded so fun. What a neat experience. I think I would really like to do that would Scott.
