Little Hands

I may be 9 months pregnant, ready to explode, and SLIGHTLY emotional....but for some reason lately I can't get enough of watching my little Macks' hands. Maybe it's because I know once this baby arrives he will instantly be a BIG brother and will LOOK bigger, ACT bigger, and just BE bigger....and that makes me sad. He is still my little man that I cannot get enough of.

**I can stand next to the light switch watching his little fingers flip the light switch up, then down, then up, then down....over and over and over....and never get tired of watching his little face light up when he realizes that HE is making the light go on and off. I love how we can play this game on a daily basis and he still finds so much joy and excitement out of it.

**I love his new obsession with having to hold onto the hand rail as I carry him up and down the stairs. His little hand grips on so tight and that sweet face lights up as he feels the rail slide between his hands.

**I love (and somehow can't stand at the same time) watching his little hands as he gets a bowl out of the cupboard, proceeds to the pantry to get the big bag of Marshmallow Mateys (Lucky Charms gone cheap), pours himself a bowl and then sits down with a nice big smile and continues to pick out and eat ONLY the marshmallows. Some days I can find 2 or 3 little bowls of "the crappy part of the cereal" sitting around my house in various places. Needless to say, we are all working hard on remembering to actually SHUT the pantry door so he can't get in there by himself.

**I love his back rubs!! Macks is going to be a masseuse when he grows up. I think he has watched me beg his dad and his brothers one too many times over the past few months to rub my back....anytime I'm sitting on the floor he'll come up behind me and start rubbing my back. And surprisingly he has a great attention span and lasts much longer than you'd expect.

I simply LOVE little hands!!

I love Macksen! He is such a sweetheart! I didn't know about the stair rail or marshmellow mateys thing, but I love the light switch game too! He is so cute. And like you said, he LOVES it! I cannot wait to see him with his little sister, he is going to be so big and so cute.

What a cute post Chiara. I love little hands too, and Eli's are getting far too big-he is the big 2next month...sigh. So I have a few girl M names. Mira, Maread, and Marni. I forgot to mention those the other day when we chated. Marni is my super good friend who is the OBGYN. The other two are from a book I just read. An author from Australia-book called The Naming-it was good. Good luck and call us the minute she get here!

Chiara-
So sweet. It must be the age, Paige is exactly the same and I love watching her too.

Kiki, This was such a cute post. Jason and I have been watching Jada do the exact same thing lately. She gets the chair from the table, drags it over to a light switch, then goes crazy with the light... amazed at herself for turning the light on and off. SO cute. Thanks for the great idea to take a pic and capture the memory. That is my goal today... to catch her in the act with camera in hand. Oh and the real reason I was checking your blog was to see if there was any baby news. We are so excited to see this precious little girl. Keep us posted. Love you all! Thinking of you guys... Oh my gosh!!!

I am totally in love with my little boys hands. Like mesmerized by them most of the time. I with there was some way I could capture them and hold them as they are right now, but forever more. They are so soft and small in my grown up hand.
