Imagine.....
You are an 8 or 9 year old boy.
You get to go to SCOUT CAMP.
Without mom or dad....just with your friends.
You get to wear your nifty scout shirt.
You get to run around ALL DAY in the dirt.
You get to buy yourself a pocketknife AND a whip.
(can anyone explain why someone thought it would be a good idea to let little boys buy WHIPS? I mean, I can sort of understand pocketknives....because I guess boys have to learn to use them ONE day....but what in the world do they need WHIPS for?!?!
I'm slightly baffled)
You get to eat the home made lunch that Mom let YOU pack....
You get to eat the home made lunch that Mom let YOU pack....
(therefore you are eating powdered donuts, Oreo cookies, Ritz crackers,
Gogurt, apples, and a peppered turkey sandwich)
You come home smelling like the landfill
and looking like the inside of a garbage can.
Ahhhhh - HEAVEN ON EARTH
We came home from the cabin early
just so Madden could go to scout camp.
He has been counting down the days (literally) since Mason
became a scout a year and a half ago.
He is WAY too excited for scouting......if you ask me......
and if you believe in such a thing!
I think it might have something to do with
knives, whips, fire, dirt, water, and ropes?!!?
But I'm not sure?

AH! Your boys are way too cute and getting WAY too old!
exactly. whips and pocket knifes here too...seriously. oh, and Kase is mastering the "hook the whip around things and try to pull them down"..boys.
As long as they have knives and whips, you might as well give them a lighter and some gun powder. Let them have a little fun.
Okay, although I am sorta dreading this time of Charlie's life, I'm actually a little more excited after this post. Just look at your boys faces!!! You can tell they had SO much fun!
Connor is SO into Scouts too and has been dying to join for awhile now. I too, took pictures of how disgusting he was after scout camp... but you could not see all the dirt or grime (or the SMELL for that matter) that was all over him from head to toe... so I figured the pictures did no justice! :)
Connor never brought home any knives or whips... he was the chubby kid and spent all his money on iceies, chips, and candy galore! ;)
OK I love reading your blog - you crack me up. Please say that my family has the same out come as yours and I get that cute little girl on the end. Graet post. Hope you are doing, you look awesome
