Bill: "Hiiii-yah" (a very hesitant, long drawn out hi)
Chiara: "Hi, how is your day going."
Bill: "Ummmmm......." (Now I know for sure something is wrong. I can tell by the tone of his voice. This is the same tone he had when he broke the news to me about his 3rd, 4th, and 5th speeding ticket within months of each other. It is the tone of "Please still love me even though I did something stupid and you have every right to be mad at me.")
Chiara: "What?"
Bill: (said really slow, kind of like a question and with that tone I just talked about.)
"Haaappy Anniversary?"
Chiara: (totally started laughing) "Are you serious? That is today? Oh my gosh! Sorry honey....yah, Happy Anniversary to you too! (still laughing)
Bill: "Oh good, you forgot too? I was sure you were just trying to be sneaky and maybe taking the boys up to your moms today to leave for the night and had something all big planned and I was so nervous because I had totally forgot and I have nothing for you......and I talked to you this morning and didn't say anything and I was worried you were just not saying anything to "test" me...but that you were really upset with me....."
Chiara: (still laughing) I can assure you I have NOTHING up my sleeve. I seriously, totally forgot!! We are so bad! I can't believe we BOTH forgot!
Long story short - we ended up spending the night with all our kids, my parents, my 2 little sisters and my older brother eating dinner at a mexican restaraunt. It was the most romantic and memorable anniversary we've had in the ten years we've been married! Hahahah!
My excuses: #1 - Alzheimers DOES run in the family....and I AM getting old. #2 - I am pregnant and have pregnancy brain. Enough said!!
I LOVE YOU HONEY! THANK YOU FOR BEING MINE!!
We can choose another day next week to celebrate....but maybe we should not plan it in advance and just do a "spur of the moment" thing so neither of us forget again!! :)

That is pretty dang funny, at least you BOTH forgot!! I had no idea your family was famous until yesterday as I was driving down the freeway! What a cute picture. You guys need to come play with us again...especially before the baby comes.

For the record - I have remembered more than Chiara has. I talked to her about getting away for a night and even made some effort to make some calls about possibly reserving something. We'll combo her birthday with our anniversary in July after the baby comes and things mellow a little bit.
Nope, not gonna work Bill...Liz and I are coming to crash the party in July!!! But happy 10 year anniversary to both of you! ;)

I have more girl cool m names if you need them, but I am thinking you are pretty set on the name you have??? I miss you guys a ton, cant believe you are going to be family of 4 soon. Pregnancy Brain is Totally documented. What is Bill's excuse? Just kidding, we are so NOT the Make A Big Deal out of the Wedding Anniversary people...but since I met you guys for the first time at your Wedding Anniverasary, that 10 years seems a LONG time ago... that means ours is this year too!! Ahhhh! Congrats you guys!
We noticed you guys on the billboard a couple of weeks ago and I almost called you.... to say how cool I think you are!
