The purpose of this blog post is to give all my sisters (Curry, Carly, Cailey, and Caddy) full permission to make fun of, laugh at, and tease me about my new fun news for the next 24 hours...then I expect full support and love. :)
I was called and asked by the director at the recreation center (that I signed my boys up to play soccer at) if I would be the soccer coach for my boys' team this year. (Stop laughing Carly....) I was the second to the last on the list of parents she had called....and they all told her no. I'm not quite sure I understand why everyone would say no....how hard can it be...the kids are only 6-7 years old?!?! So, anyways....I told her I would LOVE to! Growing up in a family where EVERYONE (except for me of course....I was in dance...which I don't really understand why...because I can't move to a beat if my life depended on it) played soccer every spare minute of everyday....I'm pretty confident that I'll do a fabulous job! Let's just say I've watched my fair share of soccer games and know the 2 most important rules....
1) You get a yellow card if you swear at the ref, or take someone out on purpose over and over again.
2) You get a red card after 2 yellow cards and it means you can't play the rest of that game or the game after that. (You can thank Curry and Carly for teaching me those rules)
Okay, so that knowledge won't be necessary at this age....all these kids need to know I can teach them...Go in the right direction, kick the ball when it is by your feet, smile, and have fun! Piece of cake!

HAHA OKAY SO I STARTED DYING LAUGHING AND SOON AS I READ THAT YOU WERE GOING TO BE THE COACH...THEN I READ (STOP LAUGHING CARLY), I GUESS YOU KNOW ME PRETTY WELL. I MUST COME SEE SOME OF THESE GAMES AND MAYBE BRING A HALF TIME SNACK! YOU BETTER MAKE SURE THEY WIN EVERY GAME CAUSE LOSING SUCKS. IM SURE YOU WILL DO GREAT!

Um you also get a red card for hitting another player- as in punch in the face..learned that one the hard way too.. My coach said, "well she pushed you 3 times before you retaliated- so you are going to be sitting out the next few games..?" Google soccer drills and they have a bunch for every age and skill level..
